A name with an uncertain meaning

A 2021 Dawn entertainment article names several of her Punjabi songs, including Chann Mere Makkhna, and discusses her online presence at the time. These sources give examples of a public career in different settings; they do not establish her family’s intention in choosing Shazia. A performance announcement also represents a particular occasion rather than a complete career history. The university notes her playback work on the 2013 film Ishq Khuda.[2][3]

Research and performance

A University of Management and Technology faculty profile records Dr Shazia Anwer’s work in creative arts and lists a 2026 conference paper on Lazgi and Punjabi performing arts. The profile is a record of academic activity and should be read with its dates rather than as an unchanging account of employment. This researcher and the singer Shazia Manzoor are different people. Together their records show a name appearing in music and scholarship connected to Punjab. They do not demonstrate how widespread the name is or imply a family connection between its bearers.[4]
